Virtual (Zoom)

Most strategic retreats are ineffective and inefficient, often leaving attendees feeling that little was achieved and valuable time was wasted. In this engaging and practical session, Paul Butler, Client Partner at Newleaf Training and Development, will share a proven framework for designing and delivering impactful strategic retreats—whether for your internal team or external clients.

Through a series of purposeful, participatory exercises, Paul will walk participants through his Charting the Course methodology and help answer essential strategic questions:

  • What are your goals for the foreseeable future? Where do you want to go, and by when?

  • How well do you understand whom you serve and what drives your customers’ behavior?

  • What are the non-negotiable values within your team that underlie the mission, vision, and values of your organization?

  • What conditions need to exist for your people to excel at serving internal and external customers exceptionally?

  • How do you, as a leader, enable greatness within your team? What is your personal contribution?

  • How do you identify the metrics that monitor your team’s ultimate success and what drives value in your organization?

This session will equip you with the confidence to facilitate a productive and engaging retreat yourself—or, if you’re an external HR consultant or business partner, to guide your clients toward transformative outcomes.
